Comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of different types of elecrtrctric transfer carts
Common types of electric transfer carts include low-voltage rail power supply, cable drum power supply, cable support power supply, battery power supply and trackless electric flat cars, etc. The advantages and disadvantages are compared as follows:
1. Low-voltage rail power supply electric trasnfer cart:
Advantages:
Environmental protection and energy saving: It is powered by electricity, has zero emissions and low noise, meets environmental protection requirements, and has low energy consumption, which helps to reduce operating costs.
High safety performance: It is equipped with an electronic braking system, which can accurately stop and slow downhill. It can brake in time to avoid collision when encountering obstacles or pedestrians; it is also equipped with a leakage protection device to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment.
Large load capacity: It is made of high-strength steel and has a stable structure. It can be customized according to user needs. Models of different tonnages can meet various handling needs.
Easy operation: The driving operation is simple and easy to learn, and it has a remote control function. It can be remotely controlled within a certain range to improve work efficiency.
Low maintenance cost: The main components are mature and reliable, with a low failure rate. Under normal use, only regular inspection and maintenance are required to maintain a good working condition.
Strong adaptability: Suitable for all kinds of flat ground, and different types of tires can be customized to adapt to the use environment of different grounds.
Disadvantages:
Limited driving speed: Its driving speed is relatively slow, which may not be suitable for scenes with high requirements for transportation speed.
Restricted by terrain: Driving stability on complex terrain (such as large slopes and sharp curves) is limited, which may affect the handling efficiency.
Limited cruising range: Limited by battery capacity, charging issues need to be considered when used continuously for a long time.
2. Cable reel-powered electric transfer cart:
Advantages:
Stable power supply: The cable reel is hysteresis coupled, which can ensure that the cable is evenly stressed and not easily damaged, and ensure the stability of power supply.
Simple structure: The overall structure is relatively simple, with high reliability and economical price.
Convenient track construction: The requirements for track laying are relatively low, and the construction is relatively convenient.
Disadvantages:
Limited running distance: Affected by the power supply length of the reel, the general running distance is less than 200m, which is not suitable for long-distance transportation.
Cable maintenance issues: The cable may have problems such as wear and aging during long-term use, and needs to be inspected and replaced regularly.
3. Cable-powered electric transfer cart:
Advantages:
Low table height: With the characteristics of low table height, it is relatively easy to load and unload heavy objects, which is convenient for loading and unloading operations of goods.
Good flexibility: It can travel on curves and circular roads, suitable for places with curves and special driving route requirements, such as factories or warehouses with circular transportation routes.
Disadvantages:
Short running distance: The cable length limits its running distance, which generally cannot exceed 50m. If it is too long, it is easy to entangle the cable.
High maintenance workload: The cable needs to be introduced into the control box through the pulley and the traction wire rope. These components are prone to failure and the maintenance workload is large.
4. Battery-powered electric transfer cart:
Advantages:
High flexibility: The running distance is not limited, and it can travel short distances in areas without tracks. It has high maneuverability and flexibility and can adapt to different working environments.
No requirements for tracks: There are no insulation requirements for tracks, and no complicated track laying and modification are required. The construction is convenient and low-cost.
Intelligent and efficient: With intelligent charging function, it can automatically find the charging station when the battery power is low, realize unattended charging, and save labor costs; it has strong power and fast driving speed, which can improve work efficiency.
Environmental protection and energy saving: It uses batteries as the power source, has zero emissions and low noise, which is conducive to improving the working environment and reducing environmental pollution.
Disadvantages:
Endurance limit: The battery power is limited and needs to be charged or replaced in time, and the endurance may not meet the needs of long-distance transportation.
Long charging time: It usually takes several hours to charge, which affects the efficiency of the vehicle.
High initial cost: Compared with some other traditional rail flat cars, its purchase price may be higher.
Battery problem: The battery is heavy, and if it is a lead-acid battery, improper disposal after disposal will pollute the environment; although the lithium battery is light, there are certain safety risks and the price is relatively high.
5. Trackless electric transfer cart:
Advantages:
Extremely flexible: No tracks are required, it can travel freely on any flat ground, can easily adapt to different working environments and transportation needs, and can achieve 360-degree rotation in situ.
Easy installation: No need to lay tracks, saving installation time and cost, very suitable for temporary transportation tasks or places with limited space.
Easy layout adjustment: When the layout of the work site changes, the trackless electric flat car can quickly adapt to the new transportation route without large-scale transformation of the infrastructure.
Simple operation: Usually wireless remote control or handle operation is adopted, and the operator can easily control the driving direction and speed of the flat car without professional track driving skills.
Disadvantages:
Relatively weak carrying capacity: Due to the lack of track support, its carrying capacity is generally not as good as that of rail electric flat cars, and its transportation capacity for heavy goods is limited.
Slightly poor operating stability: During driving, it may be affected by factors such as uneven ground and obstacles, resulting in bumps, shaking, etc. Additional shock absorption measures are required for transporting goods such as precision instruments.
Limited endurance: The battery capacity determines its endurance mileage. Frequent charging or battery replacement may be required for long-distance transportation, affecting work efficiency.
