Battery-powered electric transfer trolleys use batteries as power sources and do not require external power supplies. They are highly independent, not bound by cables, and have unlimited running distances. They can travel freely in a variety of complex environments, such as high temperature, explosion-proof, waterproof, and explosion-proof environments. Charging is convenient, and the charging time can be flexibly arranged according to work needs. The noise is low during operation and the impact on the environment is small. Because the battery has limited power and the cruising range may be short, it needs to be charged or replaced in time. If it is a lead-acid battery, it will be bulky; if it is a lithium battery, although it is light in weight, there are certain safety risks and the price is relatively high.

Track-powered electric transfer trolleys run on tracks, have clear directions, are not easy to deviate from the route, run smoothly, and have strong speed controllability. Because the power system relies on tracks, its power supply is stable and can run continuously for a long time. It is suitable for large factories, workshops and other places where heavy materials need to be transported frequently and at fixed points, and can ensure the continuity of production. Tracks need to be laid before use. The initial infrastructure construction cost is high, and the laying of tracks will limit the travel range of the transfer trolley, lacking flexibility. The maintenance of the tracks in the later stage also requires a certain amount of manpower and material resources.

The cable-powered electric transfer trolley obtains power by retracting and releasing the cable through the cable reel, which can ensure continuous power supply and is suitable for medium and long-distance material handling. It can provide relatively stable power during operation and has a strong carrying capacity.

The busbar-powered electric transfer trolley obtains power through the contact between the busbar and the collector. The power supply method is relatively stable and power outages are not likely to occur. It can achieve continuous and efficient operation and is suitable for places with high requirements for operation stability, such as large production lines.
